Infrastructure experience.
Independent judgment.
I spent more than ten years as a government contractor on classified networks: datacenter operations, virtualization, cloud, and the RMF, STIG and ATO work that keeps those systems authorized. My last role was Senior Systems Administrator & Site Lead for a 12-administrator team. I am now in Greater Seattle, WA and looking for infrastructure security, DevSecOps, platform and systems engineering roles.
I currently consult and am the sole member of YATC LLC (Yet Another Tech Company), a managed service provider I co-founded and began working on part-time in December 2023.
I am also open to network engineering, cloud engineering, solutions architecture, and IT consulting roles. The portfolio connects that operational background to tools I can build, explain, and improve.
How I work with AI
I use AI tools openly in my coding projects and technical content. My aim is to demonstrate knowledge of cybersecurity, systems and DevOps, and solutions architecture: understanding the problem, making informed decisions, and evaluating the result.
I do not present myself as a seasoned software developer. I bring infrastructure experience and enough technical grounding to question a proposed design, investigate its behavior, and make tradeoffs. AI expands what I can build; my responsibility is to understand what I accept.
What I own
The problem definition, priorities, architecture and security decisions, and the choice to accept or revise the work. I want to be able to explain why a system is designed the way it is, what was checked, and what still needs work.
Where AI contributes
Ideation, implementation, debugging, test development, and drafting documentation. The contribution varies by project; each project page says where AI helped.
What evidence means
A screenshot establishes that an interface exists. A passing test supports the behavior it actually checks. Neither proves that a system is secure in every environment. I distinguish planned capabilities, implemented behavior, and validation evidence when discussing my work.
Why I work this way
AI has changed the pace and accessibility of technical work. Adapting to these tools is part of the work itself. This portfolio shows how I combine them with domain knowledge, curiosity, and accountability.
